I took my mare Skew-whiff to a quite local, coloured horse show today.
Got her all ready and took he into the in-hand class (when they eventually started

)
She was pulled in 2nd but then trotted up really lame so we had to take her out and come home

Don't know what is wrong but she is very lame in trot behind (but was sound last night when ridden) Will get the vet on Monday if things don't change.

It was such a shame as she would have been in with a really good shot for the ridden championship!
Just hope it is nothing serious!

So anyway, pictures of her very short in-hand showing career!

The line up (obviously I was finding something highly amusing?!

She is by far the prettiest in the line up - I'm sure she would have won!!

Maybe she stood on a stone in the field yesterday??

Hope she is better soon

Thanks, I hope it is nothing serious too!
There is nothing to see or feel on her leg and no heat anywhere, but it looks to be coming from high up (stifle/ hip area) I'm not sure if maybe the pony tried to mount her?! He used to be a little devil for this but hasn't done it recently!

Strangely, she was the only chestnut and white there, which always makes her stand out.

Fiona- I think she was the prettiest there, but then I'm biased! Did you go anywhere today?

she looks stunning

loving the piccys

that sucks about her being lame... maybe she just twisted it hooning around in field? Or if she was in maybe she got cast and just gave herself a twist?

ohh they are me, ive never seen them before!!

Thank you very much

Poor whiffy - if the pony did mount her then maybe that is your answer on how to tell when she is coming into season (use pony as teaser

).

We had a relaxing day at a 'way too hot' Banbridge show, watching 1.20 and 1.30 classes, and being glad our horses were in the field at home. Going to Ravensdale tomorrow.
