My dad's little horse Tully is 15.3 and a very fine TB, this is me on him

My dad is about 5'10'' but a skinny bean at 11 stone, he only hacks him out and I do all the other stuff.

So - is Tully ok to carry dad around hacking?? He used to hunt etc. but think it is a good excuse for him to be a happy hacker because he's too big!

Thats good then, I think because he's a bloke he just looks bigger on him, where as a lady of the same weight wouldn't *look* as big if you get what I'm saying!

I feel huge on him though, but I'm used to my big horse.

You know what? I think it's got something to do with weight distribution.

An 11st bloke tends to be taller than an 11st lady.

Which is sill really - my dad looks bigger and so an 11 stone lady would get away with riding him, but dad's weight distribution is better than someone with huge knockers that weigh a stone each! Just as an example!

Well, I'm 6ft tall, but it's not a problem on a horse that size. I think we under-estimate what horses can carry, and also how a rider "should" look. Think of those scots men in the old days, on their highland ponies with a dead deer hung across the front of the saddle.
Now I need to go have a lie down, I just spat my tea all over the keyboard thinking of those 11st ladies, with 2st being made up of huge knockers!! Must be dangerous, what with the black eyes, and also the slightest trip from the horse and they've got no chance of recovery with all that upper body weight carrying to deal with...
