Why and how do I stop my horse bucking when he does a change. My instructor and friend says it isnt a buck, more of a kick back but it really unseats me and feels just like a big buck.

Sounds like he isn't stepping through enough in the change and kicking back to sort himself out - some horses always do a 'big' change where there is alot of 'jump' could that be it?

Ive not seen it, but been told hes 'kicking back'. He has a great canter but when he anticipates as he often does, he sort of comes back at me and hollows, I try to move him forward but then he changes on his own accord and does this buck thing??
