Just a moaning whinging rant really.

Had plenty of time to think about what I want from life, and atm I just can’t see it happening.

I’d like to have a horse I can ride and go out to small comps/clinics/xc schooling.

I’m stuck in my current job, my horse needs a lot of work to get her up to the standard I want, and I really need to be earning twice the salary that I am to put asides some savings and pay off a credit card :(

Tried selling horse before CV but I just didn’t have time.

I think you should definitely sell your horse because this isn't the first time you have posted on here about being fed up with your lot.

Sell it and buy something that you actually enjoy.

If you need to earn more then get a new job.

I like my horse. However not “massively” attached as only owned for 18 months.

Just really fed up with life; work, and other stuff that keeps getting thrown at me.

Can’t really afford to go out to places. I have a trailer, but nothing to tow with

I suggest you cop on and look at the positives.
You have a horse. Theres a lot more to horses than competitions - you could always build a few xc jumps in your field, or if thats not possible look for logs banks and drains out on hacks.
Many people would love to have a horse but cant.
You have a job.
Therefore you have money coming in.
You can look for something better if you dont like the job you have.
Theres always a positive side if you try and find it.

Horses are fetching a high price at the moment. If he;s not the one you want then sell now and take some time to think about what you want in a horse/job etc If you haven't got time to sell, put him on sales livery.

I think you need to seriously reconsider your career and leaving your current "company". I know its ot an easy transition from.what you do but it seems to be at the root of your problems.

The hours leave you too tired to do much and without the ability to have time with your horse.

It doesnt pay you enough to have the life that you wish to have including tow car.

If you weren't working there you could live where you please, have time before and after work to see/school/compete your horse and a good chance you'll get your weekends back.

You might find that you do like your horse and that your horse is capable of doing what you want when you are able to spend a proper amount of time with him.

There are several things you say that it is up to you to sort out. You want a horse that you can ride & go to clinics, competitions & xc schooling. Buying a 'ready made' horse is very expensive. The way most people get a horse like that is through hours of work in the school. paddock etc to give the horse the knowledge, fitness & ability to compete at the level you want. So to get a horse like what you want needs commitment & time to be given by you & dedication. You say you are stuck in your current job, why? If the job isn't what you want then take steps to change it. My daughter was stuck in a job that she quite liked but her earnings were not great. She took a night school course and she achieved an HNC with honours in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering. She now has a well paid job with an international civil engineering company. She has loads of stress from the job but she gets a salary that takes that into account. Throughout her course she still rode her horses, kept them fit & competed getting satisfactory results. Our horses are well schooled in dressage, show jumping & cross country and this was done by dedication by my daughter & the occasional lesson if she had a problem.

You mention trying to sell your horse but didn't have time before the pandemic. From each of your remarks it appears that you don't have the time for anything & you are wallowing in self pity. You are the person to improve your life, you have to take steps, it's not going to fall into your lap. If you win the lottery great but in reality it's unlikely to happen so think hard & take steps yourself to improve your situation. You have a horse, there are hundreds of people out there who would love to have a horse but are unable to for a variety of reasons. You need to decide what you need to do to achieve what you want.
