Whip repairer wanted

Evening all!,

I have a collection of antique whips, two of which could do with slight repairs. Both whips are over 100 years old so I am looking for a skilled and well recommended craftsman. One is a ladies hunting whip that needs a new flapper binding in and the other is a cane driving whip that needs a new lash binding on the end.

Can anyone make any recommendations?

We took mine (when the puppy chewed it) to Sydney Free in Cirencester- they have someone who mends leather things for them. It was a beautifully done job. Also an antique hunting whip- family heirloom so very old. It doesn't look like its been mended in that he has used material so it blends in- if you see what I mean.
Definitley worth using them if your near Ciren.

Fab! They really are great- mine is as good as it was, without looking all weird and "modern"- can't explain very well.
Wasn't too expensive either!

This guy, David Thorne, has done a brilliant job on my whip which really needed a makeover. Think it cost about £35 to have it done and I sent it recorded delivery and he sent it back.
