Hi all,

Putting the feelers out for a new boy whippet- I am keeping an eye on rescues too but I am quite firm that I want an adolescent boy as I know from experience my resident bitch will get on better with that type.

I want a bigger boned whippet; my bitch is 21" tall and I'd like similar.

We're West Midlands/ Wales border based but happy to travel to visit and collect.

Looking for pups ready to go home in July or August.

I met a lovely working type on the beach yesterday (we’re on hol in West Wales). My Manchester terrier had a lovely play with him, they have a similar play style which really helps. I think my next dog might have to be a whippet. They’ve been on my shortlist for quite some time now and that one yesterday reminded me why! I’m not looking yet tho. Nope. Definitely not looking

I know you've mentioned wanting a boy who's bigger boned but do you have a preference on show/working/racing type?

Not particularly.
Mine has a show mum and working dad, I've seen nice workers out and doing a job.
I don't like the very very narrow faced whippets, where their jaw is so narrow they look like they have an overbite all of the way around.
I'll try and find a photo of mine to show the type I like.

Sorry, photo is crappy quality but these are ours, my girl is the blue and white.
She was still immature here at about 18 months old: you can see how well built she is!

nice! you would like the lines my spotty weirdo boy came from, he's enormous but generally they come out like your pics. Coopers mum was spayed after her last litter though sadly, as I'd love another one! I'd be interested to know when you find one. We clearly like the same type and I will be looking in a few years.
