I have a rescue that is allergic to the metal on collars, she is a lurcher, so a lurchery type collar preferred..........she scratches like mad, and baldey's her self

, and she is off to her new home this weekend, I want some form of collar for her I.d tag...........any ideas?

Maybe not so fashionable but it's only has a plastic buckle in contact with the coat and the metallic ring to hook the leash onto isn't in contact with the skin. http://www.dog-online.co.uk/Dog_Collars/...oduct_info.html
Then get one of these things for horses that I have no idea what you call in English but here's a link to a Swedish page where you can see what I mean http://www.hooks.se/Butik/docs/zoom_pic.asp?pf_id=SE-490045 , put it on the collar and abracadabra fashionable dog-collar?

Found these that also doesn't seem to have the metal in straight contact with the coat http://www.greyhoundhollow.com/album_everyday/index.html ? Though I admit I didn't dare to even look at the Price Page

you are a star, I did not realise how little metal those plastic clasp ones had on....so that could definately be an option, I also like those last thick material type ones, but seems to be metal, that would be against skin.

I looked really close and thought it looked like the fabric is sort of double and the metal thingies is in between, so it would just be the top and bottom end that might come in contact with the skin? http://www.greyhoundhollow.com/album_everyday/slides/L-3531%20Leopard.html

But collars with plastic buckles seem to become more and more common and would probably be a safer option. Poor dog, personally I think I prefer pain before itch, it just drives me nuts when I get f. ex. insect bites.

Glad you liked my ideas and wish her good luck in her new home from me.
