Whippet Stud Dog urgently required - anyone know of one?

Have you tried good old google? Or go to WHSmiths and look in a dog mag, they have a lot of breeders listed in them, like H&H but for Dogs. Will try and find something will PM you if I do!!!

um....to be honest if you are going to breed then you really should have sorted out the stud dog way before now....as a previous poster has said you need to make sure that the pedigrees are compatible and that the stud has passed all his health checks ( usally hip/eyes but can be heart or liver shunt etc depending on specific breeds) - I am assuming that your bitch has of course ? - don't forget that new owners can - and do sue if their pup develops a fault that could have been tested for !.

Breeding is a HUGE responsiblility why not leave it this time and use the intervening 6 months or so till her next season doing your 'homework' on her lines etc

I AM NEW TO THIS SIGHT!! AND VERY SUPRISED TO FIND SOME SENSIBLE PEOPLE ADVISING ON BREEDING!!!
I WONDER R U BREEDING JUST TO MAKE SOME MONEY!!!
and do u know where these puppies r going to end up!!!
I AM AN NURSE AND I HAVE 3 WHIPPETS AMONGST THE VARIOUS BREEDS I AM CURRENTLY NEUTERING, VACCINATING AND CHIPPING SO THAT I CAN FIND THEM GOOD HOMES WHERE THEY WONT BE USED AS BREEDING MACHINES!!!
CAN U GUARANTEE THE WHIPPETS U ARE PRODUCING WONT END UP IN THE SAME POSITION!!!
WHY NOT TRY WHIPPET RESCUE IF U WANT WHIPPET INSTEAD OF BREEDING 6 OR MORE.

Try Mary Anderson nr Henley-on-Thames, she has two excellent whippet stud dogs. Talk to her for breeding, but call her on 01491 641140, and tell her that Jamie suggested you call her!
