Whipping round problems?? Tips required.

its circular shaped with a slit in the side which you slide over the bit, when the horse resists on that side the brush on the inside digs into the side of the horses face, you can usually get them from tack shops etc.
 
If he's barged over your wife, it sounds like the problem is lack of manners? Lots of ground work with a pressure halter to get him standing nicely and respecting your space. Then break down the entire mounting process and practice each bit of it. Maybe go for a 'belly over' as well, untill he's trust worthy?

One of the women on our yard had similiar problem she placed her wheelbarow at the side of the mounting block so he couldnt move over as she mounted .He was so busy looking at the barrow he kept nice and straight.
 
Sometimes a sweet distraction can work, I give a sugar lump to the youngsters and it keeps them busy until I get myself organised. If he's ever had a bad experience, the sugar will help him re-associate mounting with a positive experience.
