I ended up with one when my lovely OH forgot to pack the horses bridle for an event. It was the only one which the saddler there had got in full in black with a flash nose band and no bling. Its been used once and is going on ebay as it was overpriced and the leather is shocking!! If your spending that much you might as well buy either a stubben or Kieffer.
If you get them cheap they are ok, the leather quality has definitely gone up. I have a feeling the burgundy colour is being discontinued but dont quote me on that. My friend has a gorgeous breast plate, and I have a rope noseband and they are lovely and supple.
I have two and the breatplate, im very happy with both of them one is a grakle the other is a flash. Ive had both around a year now leather is lovely and supple and ive had no problems with wet weather work.
have heard lots of bad comments about them but i have had mine about 5 years (i must say i am not one to clean and oil properly very often so not treated with 100% care) , was used on dealing horses so has been used a fair few times every day and mines still going strong!
well, the full size was way too small for both my 16.3 's , also the leather on the bribles is too soft and not durable, my pony wore one for less than 5 mins , he rubbed his nose/ face on a block wall stable and ruinined the whole bridle, it scuffed so badly so it actually went in the bin, as it wasnt either really useable and def not re sellable, never again...never in 25 yrs have i ever had that prob b4 when scuffed or rubbed on a wall.
