Currently spending my Christmas money in the online horsey sales (whilst devouring my own body weight in lindor chocolate!) and I'm looking for white breeches for dressage. Now bearing in mind my last competition legwear purchase was a pair of beige caldene jods bought for £6 on eBay which have now been to area festivals and regionals I'm now going to bite the bullet and get a "proper" white pair (and a gym membership).

Im looking at mid range price wise and have found kingsland, schokomole and equetech in my price range (in the sale). Sadly pikeur are out of my price range.

My main criteria are non-see through (!!) and not overly high waisted, flattering-ish would also be nice.

Any recommendations (or warnings) welcome. :)

Mark Todd breeches are great but a bit pricey for me. I have also found the Derby House Windsor(?) breeches to be good but I don't think they sell them anymore. They do however sell the Elite Tolham breeches which are very similar and less than £30 at the moment so I will be ordering a pair to try for the new eventing season. I do find they come up a little small so have to go for a 26 in derby house instead of a 24.
I always wear white granny pants underneath these though in case the heavens open while riding as they do tend to show whats on underneath! I go for a full seat option to try and combat this but to be honest unless you spend a small fortune, I think most white breeches reveal bits when soaked.

Get a new pair of breeches but not the gym membership! Most people ended up not going at all after a few weeks...
:eek3:
Get TWO pairs if you want!!!
:)

I just bought a pair of HyPerformance Pro breeches and they are lovely! so comfy and water repellent which is a bonus as I use mine for hunting (I bought the browny cream pair!) but the white ones looked gorgeous in the shop :) cost about £60 I think

Haha, maybe 2 pairs together will hold everything in! The gym membership is actually a re-membership as I already torture myself there on a regular basis (in the vague hope i will develop a core of steel!). Did invest in a large pair of seam free skin coloured pants today though
