White spots in eyes

Remind me someone, isn't this a missing mineral? Friend has taken on a horse with spots in her eyes, is it copper?

I'd be interested to know as my old girl had a couple too. I didn't know anything about copper deficiency apart from the light "spectacle" it can cause in cows, but having read other peoples' observations here, I do wonder if she was a bit lacking. Too late to do anything now though unfortunately.
