Hi,

Does anyone know what these spots are? they have appeared after my 3 yr old was very ill and on confined rest for 2 months. I am hoping its just run down / stress like symptoms and they will clear up now hes out again?

They are all over his eyes nose and sheath.

They are raised, I have never come across Vitiligo either but I think its supposed to be irregular white patches that feel like normal skin. These are definitely spots.

Not sure - but you can get rashes with viruses.

And I've seen people break out in sores when they've been run down, post illness.

If they're juvenile warts (my old git had them when he was 14. Years!) they will go on they're own. My filly had loads, but on her head mostly, so yours may well be something different. They looked a bit like ticks on her muzzle, hung around for a couple of months and then disappeared.

My 5 yr old mare has very similar around her teats, definitely wart like. She had about 6 which didn't alter, but all of a sudden there are a lot more. She hasn't been ill, she eats well... no change to routine in any way. I've done a lot of googling & I'm using thuja tablets (from natural horse supplies) which are used for the treatment of warts, but it's early days yet & there is no change. Very frustrating...

shellkim: let me know how you get on - am interested in anything that helps get rid of these little bliters ! although they dont seem to be bothering him they are very unsightly and was hoping to show him this year ! agree- very frustrating.

Hi,

for anyone who has had issues with juvenille warts which I think is what the white spots on my 3 year old turned out to be - I would recommend IMMUNALL.

The spots on my 3 year olds face got REALLY bad - as in they covered his whole face and went up his ears and slightly down his neck. The vet said she had never seen them so bad.

On a recommendation from my farrier I tried IMMUNALL. I contacted the company and told them the history of my boy. They were brilliant. Told me the dosage to use and even gave me a 10% discount (its not cheap by the way).

But two months later they are practically gone. It has taken two bottles of IMMUNALL (which is what the man at IMMUNALL said it would take). I have half a bottle to go and I cant believe the results.

If anyone needs to boost their horses immune system for whatever reason, give IMMUNALL ago - cant recommend it enough.

I would second Immunall, great product but not cheap. My lad has these warts on his sheath just now, Camrosa is taking care of them.
