I want to turn a large flat grass area into a temporary schooling area as and when needed. Something i can remove when I've finished.

Where can i buy the spikes and none electrical white tape?

Any other ideas to quickly fence out a schooling area?

Planks or poles (like they use around dressage arenas) would be safe in terms or horse getting tangled if it is also turned out in the field.

I used to use electric fencing, with proper sticks, one end tied to fence, other end had a cone over the fence posts to keep it on the floor. We put it up and down everytime, took like 5 mins each time, but worked really well!

its a different field I take him on for training, but its got a LOT of grass, so he usually decides its time to go napping. Hence the reason I wanted to make it more enclosed and menarge like. He always behave in menarges :p

We have used both methods, I prefer the tape on 5ft posts, to using poles on the ground, especially if the horses are used to electric fencing.
Tape and posts (2 sizes) can be found at most country/farm stores.

We use long plastic poles and white tape to mark out our schooling area. We leave it up, usually, with electric current through it. The horses are used to it, we frequently divide our fields with electric fencing. We haven't had any problems. The only thing to remember is to not ride close enough to the fence to touch it. The boundary for our schooling area is the field wall/fence on 2 sides, if that makes a difference.

it worked a treat, got some small plastic white tape poles and marked out a menarge sized area on the grass. He's taken to lunging very well, seems to really enjoy his work in there and eager to please.

No napping or running off etc
