I previously had a grey show cob (now have a coloured with white legs)
I have tried the one you show above, it's OK but I wouldn;t buy again.
I swear by the following: (bear in mind my cob lives out so all washing is done on the day no matter how early!)

Use warm water (warmer for the tail if you like as long as you don't burn the dock)
1st wash with a bucket of warm water, I use 2 x big mixing jugs and dilute Tresemme Clarifying Shampoo (Green Writing on bottle - NOT the 2 in 1) and wash all over with this. OH does the body, I do initial soak and wash of the tail, with the Tresemme and some neat on the top of his tail as it's white. Bottom of his tail is black - whew! I then do the legs as OH hip is knackered & he can't bend down.
We rinse with the Hot Horse Shower.

I then re-wash with Natural Equine WhiteWash - it's not purple as my old cob was allergic to purple shampoos - but is really good & doesn't dry the hair out. I dilute in the big mixing jugs to save using whole bottles at a time! I used to buy 5litres and it would last at least one whole show season starting in April & finishing in Sept.

If I needed stain removal I used to use Red Rum Whitening spray - sadly it's no longer available (I have a stash but only about 2 left :() but the Absorbine one is good. I spray on the tail & leave while I do the second wash then rinse off with the Hot Horse Shower.

Sometimes use the powder chalk with a dry sponge to apply and wrap the legs, I don;t really like that look for show cobs so it's a last resort if I can't get a stain out.

Hope that helps! Just remembered I tried the Henny Feather Soap and that was good as well.

I have a mostly white coloured and I tend to use coconut shampoo from tesco (cheap stuff) to do an initial all over wash and then use Brite whites purple shampoo which seems to help. As her legs are white, I wash the night before but always redo in the morning with the purple shampoo.

I have heard good reviews on the smart grooming "super blue whitening rinse".

I have found the Goodbye Flys shampoo is really good for cleaning tails and getting then white.
Use it either in cold or hot water.

I have heard good things about the Goodbye flys shampoo too, I am yet to use it but might have to put it on my shopping list (never ending one lol)
