Very sad, Its very easy to judge but unless we walk in someone elses shoes we do not know their pains.

She was a mother and person but she still chose to use crack, heroin etc etc she had been in and out of rehab. She ultimately made the choice to keep using drugs - your body can only take so much abuse. She also had the money to keep feeding her addicition and the scumbags that feed of people like her
While it is sad when anyone loses their fight for life there are thousands out there who lose their fight from motor neurone, cancer etc
The outpouring of 'grief' for celebrities who die as a result of their long term drug abuse leaves me cold.
*retreats to shelter and dons tin hat*
When I read about their depression etc I just think really, you don't know how lucky you are.
MM..you don't know how lucky you are not to be suffering from depression.
When that black cloud comes down all the money in the world won't make it go away.
It dosnt differenciate between rich or poor and its not just a case of feeling sorry for yourself.
It's a recognised illness.

I can't feel sorry for anyone who dies through drug abuse,

Even if it was your parent, brother, sister or lover? Or, heaven forbid, one day in the future, your child?
None of my family would be that stupid"
I'm glad you can feel so sure of that. My friends son died of a reaction to an illegal drug 6 weeks before Christmas, she was certain he would never be so stupid as to take drugs to, he didn't even smoke cigarettes. What she didn't know was he had bi-polar and was struggling to cope.
It's easy to say 'she brought it on herself' when we don't know the full story, yes there are people who are dying from illnesses they have no control over, but at the end of the day they are all someones child, parent, spouse or sibling and to them the lose is as tragic no matter the cause.
I had it drilled into me that you don't have to take drugs regularly for them to take hold and kill you, just one time can kill, as your poor friends son proved
People are taking my point the wrong way. I'm not saying she deserved it, I'm saying it shouldn't be glorified by the media. Other help should be advertised and taking drugs should be properly shown for the evil it does.
Im sure there is a debate on drugs going on here, but i haven't read all the replies, but just saw this on the news again, and Im afraid I have little sympathy for people who kill themselves through drink and drug abuse, which is exactly what it was. And she had children to fight for... As far as I am concerned really, she did it to herself!
I do hope that is just your young age and naivety speaking and that goes for you too, Annielusian: "None of my family would be that stupid."
I also hope that as you grow older and wiser, you will come to understand that life can be a bitch, humans are fallible and nothing is black and white.
I don't often add to these threads, but Whitney was an amazing talent and 'part' of my late teens and early 20's - I hope she manages to rest in peace.
Well maybe it is, I am only 23, but I haven't had an easy life, I have suffered from depression myself. Life is what you make of it, and if you can't help yourself, no one will do it for you.
As for the comments to the dealers coming and offering it to her knowing she had the funds is fine, and true, but that doesnt mean she couldnt beat it. We are all capable of great and terrible things, and in my opinion, really, who else is there to blame? We are all in control of our own path (to an extent!) But drug abuse is definitely something you can beat, many people have proven do.

Well, duly noted, and I will bear it in mind.... unfortunately my would be reply to that is too extreme to post...
And im not blaming anyone, of course it is a terrible shame she has died, but the cause as to that death is in dispute I believe here? Anyhoo, RIP Whitney, I loved her music
