I need to update my will and was leaving my horse to my instructor (I did ask him). I don't want to leave her to a friend as she's not the type my mates would have and I don't want them to be 'stuck' with her. I know a couple of people this has happened to and they have been left with horses that are totally unsuitable but won't get rid of for fear of not fulfilling last wishes. I now have changed instructor but the old instructor is still a very good mate and it is purely on the basis that I know he wouldn't keep her but would sell her on to a good home. Who have you left yours too or is it something you haven't though about ? (hubby is allergic so he gets the lorry, handy for moving big stuff lol)

I havn't got my own horse as such but share fat boy with my best friend and also help look after her 36yr old. She has said that they are mine when she goes as I'm their godmother :) Not sure if she's done this in her will but I'd be happy to have them as feel like they're half mine anyway xx

I am only 20 but if the worst happened - I have told mum to have them and find a big field and just turn them out in it and retire them all....

I've got it written down who I want her to go to, should anything happen to me. There's only 2 people I'd ever want her to go to and if they couldn't have her for whatever reason, I've said I want her PTS.

My old boy will come with me and Paolino and Doody the donk are going to HandH's ex Fumanchoo. I have no idea regarding my Quarter filly but am wondering if a certain forum member in Canada would like her???? I would of course pay her flight out......

Well....Im only 18, but if anything happened to me i would HATE for my (supposedly) experienced friends to have Lady. I dont have many (or ANY) horsey friends apart from Binky01, So Id rather Binky01 took her in and retire her :D Doubt if she would though ive never asked her!

I hadn't ever thought about this before. What an interesting thought. I should ask my bestest most brilliant friend, who is also the bestest most brilliant horsewomen I know, to have them I suppose. To do with as she sees fit. I would trust her to do the right thing by them and would have no problem with her keeping or selling or doing whatever. I think I'm in a lucky position that I have someone I would trust to look after em!
