All winter I've been moaning about not having enough rugs for our 4. I was aware that there were a couple of rugs in my garage waiting to be repaired or reproofed. So today I braved the garage or should that be the overflow tack room. Well there was a huge pile of rugs. So far I have packed up 8 turnout rugs 2 stable rugs and a fleece. Looking at the pile thats left there is at least another 10 rugs. Well at least I found out who ate all the rugs. ?‍♀️ and there I was moaning to my daughter about having 7 bridles and 7 saddles for 3 horses ( 1 is retired).

I have a large pile of rugs in my tackroom mostly for horses and ponies that are no longer with us.

I ought to have a sort out really but keep putting it off!

I have to admit to having been a rug addict when I had my last boy - I probably had over 30. I didn't use most of them but I couldn't resist a 'bargain' - and there's nothing quite like a nice fresh new rug.
I used a 100 or 200g stable, a dry rug when he had been bathed if chilly and a 100g, 200g, and 400g (when he lived out and it was snowing all night). So the other 25+ rugs were pretty much redundant.

We made a good bit of money from people with rug addictions, both the people who had too many too fit in their house and those mad for a bargain. Sold a crazy number at a tack sale and made about £1000 for the sanctuary ponies. So, keep at it and donate when you run out of room please ??
