It was 2 degrees this am , day from work , absolutely baltic horrendous rain and hail but tacked up and off we went ?? Must be mad ?? anybody else braved it ,

Had a slightly soggy and chilly hack out this afternoon, but slightly regretting booking in for open water swimming at 7.30am tomorrow morning, now that is definitely going to be cold ?‍

2 degrees and bitter breeze, rain stopped just after 8, so we jaunted off out. No precipitation....

Yep! You know it’s cold when the warmblood who hates spending too long in her stable refuses to leave it and the dope on a rope cob can suddenly do halt to trot, and trot was the only gait he knew (didn’t dare try canter, think we might have left the arena!)

Where I am it has been below 0 all week and I have ridden 3 every day. Weirdly I really like it, but not sure I would be very happy with hail and rain!

Down in Devon, went to ride the big old horse and just as we were tacking up the sun came out for us! It was pretty cold and windy and he had just been re clipped so he was really cheery, ears up looking for hounds all the way.

I got well and truly sleeted on out hacking. Most unpleasant.

I ride when it’s cold.
cold sleety rain; so awful.
chucked his sheet on and did a trot/canter around the block. Kept walk to a minimum and I had his ears up my nose the whole way.
