Who else fell off today

Hate to see this going unanswered :D

No, I didn't fall off today but I'm breaking soon, so expecting to! Just to completely tempt fate, I've bought a new body protector. Historically, I've usually only ever fallen off when wearing one. It's either luck that I've been wearing one - or a bad omen when I do!

I hope you are ok?

I've not ridden in a age (no arena and everywhere looks like the Somme) so I'm expecting some antics soon as the world is starting to dry out. Every time I think about riding I just think about hitting the floor. Hope you didn't fall to hard. Sending you some Radox

Haha thank you both. I was wondering if I was the only one on the planet who fell off today! !

I'm OK thanks. Sore knee and face. Proper face planted the arena.

Ouch, hope you're not too sore. Nope I haven't fallen off as Madame is on field rest, but...hopefully she can come back into work in soon. Which will take the pair of us nicely into March and for some reason (hormones no doubt, hers not mine) I hit the deck every March with out fail. All other months ok. (OK, I did have a little slip in August, which resulted in fractured ribs and a sprained hip and sciatica, but we won't count that one).

Me! Pretty horrendous one too! Hit the ground with force damaged my ligaments around collarbone & have whiplash! Ow! Lovely night getting xrayed.

Not riding today! I hate falling off, it really knocks my confidence even though I've been lucky not to have had any bad falls. Only fell off my mare once when she put her foot down a hole and went over, despite her being a buzzy little thing and us doing hunting xc and jumping. F is so far proving to be steady as a rock so I'm more likely to ping off from him over jumping or him tripping !

5 massive bucks I sat too then he dropped his shoulder and ran off... I made a dent in the surface... Very sore today but rest il be fine :)

Does 'Nearly' falling off on thursday count?
Pony started Broncing, leaping and generally being a t1t! Did see the ground coming to meet me, but by some sheer miracle, stayed on. If idiot pony had twisted a bit more, it would have been a certainty. Pulled my shoulder in staying on. Pony and I, are not friends.

Didn't come off but I very nearly did 😂. Decided I'll hack my ex hunter project horse in an open field. And just keep to the tracks.... second he saw the open field he bolted, jumped up a 3ft bank, then tried to jump a 4ft high stone wall with barbed wire at the top! Managed to pull him around in time but feel horrid for having to pull with all my force to left cause he want listening.... I didn't fancy jumping the wall.

I need to add my name to the list. Pony spent the whole ride being saintly whilst his hacking buddy threw everything he had at his rider. Unfortunately, it all became too much when our calm, collected canter up the hill turned into his buddy tanking off behind him. He felt that the only way to respond was to take off at full pelt, throwing in a buck, buck, twist manoeuvre (all four feet off the ground as he performed his movements), without losing speed for a second. Cue me shooting out of the side door, and taking a chunk out of my finger in the process. I'm now incredibly achy all over, but seem to have gotten away with nothing worse than a few damaged muscles and a swollen knee. Friend's immediate response was priceless, however.
"Have you broken anything?"
"No, I think I'm okay."
"Are you absolutely sure? You really look like you should have broken something then."
Horses! Who'd have them?

I sat on my Thoroughbred for the first time since September today, we went for a hack round the village. I didn't fall off but at one stage I very much considered getting off and walking.....

Need to add myself to the list! My placid cob mare decided to plunge then put in the most enormous buck which launched me into the air and I landed on my derrière in the brambles! Really out of character for her, so not sure what happened. Currently sitting on hot water bottle after taking strong painkillers. Ouchy! Decided you don't bounce at my age (over 50)!

I nearly came off yesterday ... both horses being nappy gits when we tried to hack them out, capped off by Jazz doing a proper rear and spinning round! He's never done that under saddle before, and I have no idea how I stayed on ... I was actually wondering how I was going to land it without breaking my shoulder, then suddenly he was back underneath me.

Luckily (for them!) they were much better behaved today - I was about to phone Findus and offer them 2 very large potential lasagnes ...

I fell off today. Let my friend's cheeky cob get away with whipping off to the left when I wanted to go right. The next time round he had me again and I came out the side door after a bit of a battle - everyone wet themselves laughing. I was ready the third time though and he was a star for the rest of the session!

I had a very near miss - pony was cantering lovely then suddenly put in a dramatic swerve to the left! Thank goodness I had jammed my heels down so I ended up hugging his neck as he ground to a halt but stayed on (just!)

I hit the deck on my most ridiculous horse on Saturday, horse decided to leap backwards, ended up sitting on the fenced so lept forwards an I was left sitting in mid air. Feel like I've been hit by a truck today. Bad times

I fell off last time we went out competing. Jumped a nice SJ round, horse caught sight of my sister (and more importantly, my sister's polos) and abruptly swerved and stopped. I didn't stop...thankfully landed on my feet and had hoped to scurry out unnoticed. Unfortunately, commentator decided that everyone in the place should know about it and I had to do the walk of shame back through the warm up :D

Nearly off yesterday just doing fairly standard trot to canter transition. Not even sure what happened, wasn't a sideways spook but I still ended up losing a stirrup and almost ending up on his neck - that'll teach me to sit up properly!
