It was Ponio's first show today - she has never been to a show and she hasn't left the yard since she arrived five years ago.

She loaded brilliantly - no hesitation or anything. The show was just over an hour away - half of which was on the M5. When we got to the other end she wasn't even slightly warm - no sweat or anything!!

There were a couple of producers there who came 1st and 2nd - we came 5th!! I was so shocked I didn't realise they were calling us in!

She was so well behaved the judge said she was a bit stiff and she was the only one with some winter coat still or we would have been placed higher.

That was my self indugent post - anyone else want to brag about their fab ponies?

YAY me!! My pony went xc schooling yesterday and all the ones we had over 10 refusals at last year she flew and most of them are pretty meaty!! YAY and it was her first time in a wagon and she went in and travelled like a pro I love our fab ponies!!!
 
My gosh, I would love to but the only exciting thing we've done in the past couple of days is learn some on the ground stretch exercises. Not quite the same as a first show out and a 6th place though - woohoo! Well done to you both. I would be squeezing it into every possible conversation for the rest of the month.

i have a fab pony aswell he went to this 2nd in hand show today only 2nd time he has been off the yard. we got a 2nd in best 3 year old, 3rd in mountain and moorland and 6th in the mature over 14.2hh slug (his new name)decide trotting was no fun anymore in the last one.
 
Yay me. She is 22. Had her since she was 7 and has done evrything asked of her in all that time. Still going strong and beating horses in dressage, not stiff at all and loving a bit of jumping and galloping now and then. Bless her xxx
 
Yay! me too, shes a 6yo Sec D and im falling more in love with her everyday!

She came to me underweight/undernorished, nappy, unschooled and stubbon and today we went out on an hour hack with not ONE complaint!

(its been 2 months!)
 
Not me!! mine is in disgrace at the moment after refusing twice yesterday at a show in the working hunter and then throwing me off and then refusing to be caught for half an hour!! and that is the 3rd time i have come off this week....
 
yey me too!! Took my pony to the gallops yesterday and he was so good, he's soooooo much fun but he also always looks after me. Hacked him alone around the fields on fri night ( a big deal for me) and we walked, trotted, cantered, hopped up and down banks and had loads of fun. We are learning to leg yield and he's getting the idea and trying hard. I love him to bits!

me too!!!! my pony has been a little super star for the past 3 days prior to that i think he was trying to kill me. Long may it continue
 
Me too!! My pony turns his hooves to anything, usually does dressage but today got 3rd in WHP 1st in senior riding and a clear round in the clear round!
 
i love it when you go out and have a stress free enjoyable day !! well done pony what a good girl especially first time away from home for a while!

my pony is so fab she has had her hooves up for 5 days as we have competed loads lately and schooled lots and she has done nothing but please me so shes had a well deserved mini break
