i may know some of u from a different forum

definetly would love to see pics please

I got Intersky Sovereign, an 9 yr old exchaser. He is fab at just about everything and excels at dressage, he also has the racehorse mentality at times when he gets nervous or stressed. On the whole he is a bit of a dude!
I also have Intersky Emerald a 5 nearly 6 yr old, he ran 4 times on the flat and once over hurdles, but he is soon to be rehomed to a forum newbie who I am sure will keep us up to date with his progress!

I have one called Jack - racing name Dark Age, Grandad Danzig and mum is Darshan. I got him as a 10year old and he 14 now. We do dresssage when he is in a good mood. He has attachement issues so has to go out individually and then he is ok. Also he has to have a mirror in his stable as he gets stressed when things are in differnet places etc outside. Saying that he has lovely paces and good breeding so we do do well at dressage, he is just very tempremental.

I had an ex steeplechaser for about 8 months. He was by Lester Lad, but I don't know what his racing name was.

He was a lovely horse, but a bit of a stress head. Had him put down just before Christmas 06 due to his increasing mobility problems.

I've got one atm- Miss Flossy.
Sister has 2- One Good Thing and another I dont know the name of. Floss has been out of racing 3 1/2 weeks, Joey for about 2 months. And the other is fresh out.
Theyre so rewarding and if you find a good one, theres no end to their talents. My sister's 2 best horses both came off the track and both went 3*

Hi

I've had 2!

First one was an ex hurdler turned polo pony i picked up for meat money. had him a year as he wasnt' cut out for competing - he was also 15 when i got him so i felt it unfair to make him do things he honestly wasn't happy doing. sold him as hack / hunter for double my money. he had £12k in racing win money!

my current horse Bonnie (racing name Dunmidoe) is by Case Law who stood at Chevely Park Stud for a while. She's an ex flat horse who wasn't all that successful - don't know much about her dam (Rion River) though. She left the track at 3, and since then has been with an advanced event rider before I got her, and she's a smashing little horse I'm going to event this year. has lovely paces and a massive jump and her attitude to work is good. she is a marish TB when she wants to be tho'!!!

My friend used to have one of the Noble's! he was called Noble Shot unfortunately he came into her hands after his loan owner died, in abit of a state.
There was a big question mark to get in touch with his previous owners, which failed so in the end he covered one of her mares and then the previous owners got in touch and took him away

my friend was absolutely gutted!

Shame I dont have any pictures of him!

Mine is apparently an ex racer but we don't know his history - all I do know is that he's def got an ex racer mentality! Goes like the bloody wind too.

I have one called Italian Touch (Tally) he is only four and he is currently at an Eventing yard so will be starting to event at some point this coming season.

I've had two. One was Forbidden Tryst or Trystie. She was an ex flat racer in the states. Mad as a fox of frogs. My other one is fab to hack out but is getting on a bit so he's just a happy hacker.

Yep lots of them!

Latest addition is Banjo who ran in the National and Gold Cup
hoping to do lots of Exracer classes with him this season. Here he is at home last weekend.

Ah, thanks.

At the moment I've got five ex racers, three that I ride and compete myself, one thats retired due to kissing spines and one thats out on loan doing endurance.

I mostly event with them, well thats the aim anyway, but with all the new exracer classes and competitions we're going to be doing a lot of them, and hopefully qualify Banjo for the Exracers club champion of Champions at Arena UK this autumn.

By the sounds of it I may be meeting some of you guys and your exracers if you're competing them in some of these classes as well?

i dunno about me doing classes (i need more work than the horse ATM lol) i probably know u from the horse directory forum. good luck at arena, i'd love to go, just to watch ,but i'm sooooo far away.

We'll have to see how he goes before I decide to travel up from Cornwall to Arena with a horse in tow! I went last year to watch and it was a really fantastic day, well worth going even if you are just watching.

I have had three, first one was called Andrew, racing name Echo Beach, Sire was Laguna Beach and Dam was Echo Princess. useless on and off the racecoure.
Second one was Jess, flat racer called Jessie James, she died in August at 26 and competed well in everything.
Third is William, Racing name Lisnalty, Sire Lord David S dam April Rain.
Got him at 5yrs old off the meat man, crap on the circuit and struggles with everything unless there is a jump involved, then he's off!!

I have had, Danny, Chase the Blues, Raffii, Dahlidya, Acuiline and Morton.

I currently have a filly who was bought to race, out of Grand Lodge and I acquired her as a two year because she was a weak little thing and not ready to race as a two year old. She is now a strapping 17.1 massive horse and many people ask if she is t.b, looks more like a warm blood (her breeding is top of the tree) and I am training her to event.

I have loved all of my race horses and taken in many more to retrain and rehome.

jad is a beautiful boy, and he looks so calm at kelso. i'm not sure how mine would react if i took him to a parade ring at a race course. will be sometime before i'd even think about it. it would kind of defeat the purpose of trying to promote ex racers if i got carted off with or bucked off lol
grin.gif
is jad chilled with age or has he always been this way?
