I havent been able to ride today due to work and farrier, but it did give me a chance to strip off the pony and get him nicely groomed/hugged to death in the sun, lol
Has anyone been on a nice ride today to make me jealous? I would have if there had been more time. Where have you all been, anywhere nice?
This is prob the last glimpse of summer coat Ill see now, its wooly-ing fast!

yeah i have enjoyed the sunshine too altho it wa sstill cold here so no naked horsey!! Had a nice ride though just around nice country lanes nothing exciting but stupid anglo arab horsey impressed me with his superior behaviour and not thinking everything will jump out and eat him...even went over a railway line with just a little *confused* look on his face. I feel he is maybe finally starting to trust me when being riden!!

I did this morning - went for a ride without getting wet - had no brakes though so went a bit faster than planned! Didnt enjoy it quite so much when i got back as had to poo pick a really wet muddy field - gave up half way as i was covered from head to toe in mud and poo! Really wanted my horse to be naked too but I couldnt be bothered to deal with a wet muddy horse tonight so sheet was off,on,off and on again for a while!!

I went out for three hours this afternoon with my mum. :) The ground was no where near as wet as we thought it was going to be! It's supposed to be awful weather here again tomorrow though so I'm glad we made the most of it today!

ooo we were lucky here then, it was warm enough this afternoon to have all 4 at the yard naked, (mind you, Charlie had a good roll in the mud and had to be cleaned all over again lol!) Glad to hear you had good rides !!!!

Dizzy, isnt it a nice feeling? I have had this happen with Charlie too, we have had him 8 weeks. I am revelling in his new found affection and trust!

I took my lad out at first light - 7am and had a wonderful peaceful ride around the lanes enjoying the peace and the sight of the mist over the fields with the sun peeping through...marvellous. Boy was good and fairly forward going and then he went out in the field for the day to eat...his favourite activity. No rug as the sun was out and I need his coat to come through.
Boy was he muddy this evening though!!!

yes loving the feeling, at least now i know the effort over the last 6months getting him to allow me to tack up without throwing himself on the floor (old injury and cold backed) has actually been for a reason! shame its taken until dark nights to happen nevermind weekends will just become more funfilled!
