Following on from the would you sell for silly money

By 'perfect' I mean perfect for almost anyone not just you??

If so what makes him/her so perfect??


AS said in other thread Micah really has turned into 'Mr Perfect' for anyone wanting a RC/PC horse. I dare say he would event up to at least Novice but I'm a cripple so he won't get the chance.


He is NOT a plod and would not be a safe fast hack for your nervous granny as he is forward going and fun loving, but in walk he would be.


NEVER EVER spooks, looks occasionally but that's it. Is known on yard as 'Mr Perfect' or the 'angel' :D


Jumps whatever I put him at first time. I've not yet jumped him bigger than 3ft but that is me not him. and I will just working up to it :D


comes to call every time. 100% in EVERY way. voice trained to everything. .

He doesn't bother if he is the only one in or out.



I never tie him up to tack up etc. Will stand and wait in a place when told too while I walk off to shut gate or put jumps up etc


I've never had or known a horse who loves life like he does and is so amazingly good.

Very loving nature

To top it all he has lovely movement and according to my DR instructor will go to at least advanced med. haha just needs a good enough rider now

I was going to say he even stays in his field when all the others escape, but I got a call to say he went walk about this morning, and others stayed put :eek:
 
I'm intrigued. I can't read your post as the colours are painful and it takes up far too much space on my screen. Given that most people will be reading "normal" text every day on their computers and will have their screens set to accommodate that, why would you want to make your post "different"?

sorry hun will change it. (wont let me now!) I made it different as when I spend too much time on here I struggle to see the print of all the posts so I thought it might be refreshing to peoples eyes :)
 
B - mental with experienced riders, quiet with beginners, brave in traffic, mad on grass, jumps anything at speed, or slowly if it's under 2ft, will lead another horse or lead off another horse, non spooky, beautiful dressage test, well behaved hunting, loves quiet attention but doesn't demand it. My princess!
 
Mine are as far from perfect as you can get.
I would'nt trust my highland off lead-rein with a novice. She ditched me several days in a row. If she's not in regular work, she's spooky and needs a good run before she'll settle. She can be a monkey and will evade work as she sees fit. Jumping however, she is a little superstar and helps me out no end and she's near foot-perfect on the road and funnily enough is the granny for green horses.
She is fab on the ground as long as your firm with her as she will take the p1ss if she feels she can. She is also so cheeky and mischievous that her quirks make her who she is.

My Newfie is better but can still be nervous and if she's having an off day, you have to catch her a specific way. She can be strong willed and decide she wants to work rather than go back to the field. You have to let her take her time to get used to something and can't expect results quickly. It takes a while for her to relax with new things, but once she does - she's fab. In new situations, she shakes like a leaf.

So my ponies, are the least perfect you can find, but they're perfect for me and I wouldn't change either of them :D

A horse that behaves wouldn't suit me as I had the option of a 3yr old that was as quiet as can be or an unhandled 3 yr old - both at the same price. I would find a quiet, fully behaved pony too boring. (That sounds bad, doesn't it?) I like the puzzle and challenge of trying to stay 3 steps ahead of mine - as she is safe.

oh bless. I must admit after my last one I too thought I would find it boring, however he wasn't like it when I got him 2 years ago so didn't go out looking for it. However there is still enough to work on to keep me busy it just means progress in training instead of fixing behavioural issues, which is such a novelty for me:D
Basically if he does something not quite as he should, what ever it says 'in the book' to correct it, it works.:eek: which it never did with my last one and its amazing :D
He still tells me if I don't get it right too
 
Daughter's 12.2 pony is a star. Perfect manners in hand, bomb proof in traffic and always wants to go at a slower pace which is great when you have small children. Will step up and sparkle at pony camp for eldest though, as long as she gets after him! He probably would be boring for a lot of people but he gives my six and nine year old a lot of confidence and I feel they are safe with him, so he's worth his weight in gold! All big brown eyes and butterfly touches!

Our highland youngster is lovely, a cheeky, cheerful little guy who LOVES people and attention and thinks there is nothing better than standing in the middle of a group of children on our yard while they make a fuss of him. He can be bolshy though and you have to make sure that boundries are always enforced or he will walk all over you. Very laid back little guy and one I think will give my children a very happy childhood, along with his smaller field mate. We're very excited about him being backed and finally getting to sit on his back.
 
My arab is my 'perfect horse' completely bonkers like me and took her for a blast over the moors last night and I laughed all the way whilst dodging puddles (good job my balance is pretty good), her prancing through roadworks (road closure with big scary diggers) in the best extended trot ever) - I'm the only person to have ever ridden her and know her inside out ... other people are pretty nervous of her overwelming presence but even if I was offered a small fortune for her, I wouldnt swap her for the world! :D
