Who else owns cow ponies?

Here is my cow pony last night after playing about in the indoor school.

He is standing a bit odd in the second pic - he was thinking about pooing, then didn't.

Enfys, you take stunning photos! Do you stand there all day with the camera poised, or are you just lucky??

Thankyou :o I am actually just lucky. I do have the camera nearby most of the time and if the horses are playing or something is happening I do stop and take pictures (advantage of being your own Boss)

The one of the Hawk was lucky, I had to run indoors, up the stairs, grab camera, hurtle (a feat for me, I am not a hurtling kind of person) back, slide across ice on my backside and my hawk friend was still there, he kindly stayed long enough for just one photo from about 40' away.

Yas, hmmm, not really, I delete 80% of everything I take, but it is very kind of you to say so. One of these days I will get myself a decent camera, I hate mine with a vengeance, but it is low on the list.

*blushes & waves* I dont know who you are but thankyou that's a very nice thing to say. He's got such a dreadful reputation that it's nice to know people notice the work we've done with him. Not long til we'll be out and about again, see you around! :D

As a real cowrider I get a bit huffed off with people constantly referring to anything black and white as a 'cow' pony  cows can be pretty much any colour a horse can! AND, you NEVER get a cow with feather, whereas most of these 'cows' people talk about do?

So I was pleased to see some quality cow wannabes on this thread - loving the mini herefordalike! :D

Tried all sorts of breeds - hereford, ayrshire, simmental, brown swiss. Currently focussing on jerseys as I find them to have the best attitude for riding, as well as being a sensible size, easily and cheaply available and more heat tolerant than other breeds (important if worked hard).

...will try to figure out how to do pics...

Please do, I would love to see.

I always thought a cow would be a good pony substitute when I was a (pony less) kid :o

If you upload them to Photobucket.com then paste the code which starts [IMG on here.

Was trying to find this thread using the search and it said cow was too short or commonly used lol!

Snapped this of the "Hereford" and her two actual cow pals whom she herds round the field regularly.
