Who else's are full of the joys of spring?

I have a new youngster ( well he is coming six but very green so more like 4/5 year old) had him a little over two months now, he is a touch sensitive and can be "looky" but is good to ride, polite to handle and a nice person generally. we have turned him out 24/7 for past three weeks and all of a sudden he has got very spooky in the field and being a bit difficult to catch prancing around and generally getting silly. once caught he calms right down again, I have been trying to figure out what it was and having gone through all possibilities now suspect it is the spring grass. he was a touch poor when he arrived with me so is now feeling very well and building topline etc.
I am planning on giving him some magnesium powder to see if that helps. but any suggestions welcome ;-) hoping all will settle down soon!
