Only asking as someone at yard was doing this earlier, and i thought it strange, surely a colic risk????
Never! yes because of the risk of colic.... plus you can then give food as a reward (hopefully) for the good work they have done.Only asking as someone at yard was doing this earlier, and i thought it strange, surely a colic risk????
I have been told by a professional that a small amount of chaff (or similar) a short period of time before a ride can actually be a good thing, especially for horses that are prone to "splashback" stomach ulcers etc.
