Who feeds Linseed?

I feed ready cooked linseed meal.

Jim gets quite dry scurfy skin (but a good coat, makes no sense to me) & is prone to mudfever. I find linseed helps with both problems & seems very palatable.

I also feed cooked linseed meal to a pony that has a very hairy coat that just looks flat and dull without it. Not such a problem in summer but helps with his winter coat.

Hello, I feed simple systems instant linseed, used to buy grains and cook but the instant stuff really isn't that more expensive and no faffing. I feed for condition in winter, joints, and skin (agree with Nari that linseed helps with mud fever). Simple systems recommended I feed 300g a day for 16.2 warmblood to fully benefit joints, but has he is a good doer 150 g would be ok, so compremised and both mine get 200g (approx small mug full) mixed in with evening feed which is nuts soaked to a mash like consistancy.

I also feed the SS cooked and ground linseed. My horse suffers from quite a dry/scurvey coat, and I found that the linseed oil didn't really help.

He has a lovely shiny coat even in winter time.Linseed is also very good for the feet. I

He gets around 100 gm. as he is fed a Feed Balancer. But it does make a difference.

Thanks every one, the one i am thinking of buying is described as micronized full fat linseed meal, do you think this mean it is ready to feed or still have to soak?
