My WB mare as I posted the other night is shedding her coat in handfuls and I can't take it anymore!
Thinking of clipping her with a blanket clip that has half the neck still on, just to start with. You recon I could clip her this weekend? I just can't stand the moulting anymore! At least half her coat off may reduce the mouting somewhat :D

I know quite a few people who have clipped already :) I'm desperate to but my TB doesn't need doing yet!

Isn't a blanket that has half the neck still on just a Trace Clip?

No idea, I just know thats what I am going to do :D Buffy is getting a fluffy coat on her so perhaps tomorrow I will clip her. I was going to take the lot off but I have a feeling this winter is going to be colder then last so I will lleave her some fluff to keep warm with!

My welsh D x has been done alsready, he got a blanket clip as poor bugger was sweating as soon as i did anything with him and its getting too cold to hose him off to cool him down.

My mare has no coat (trying to keeip it that way!!) so she wont be done until she comes back into work.

Did my Welsh D last weekend as he had a full winter coat :(. He does look lovely now, took the lot off as he has more rugs than I have coats:)!! Plan to do the other two this weekend as both look like yeti's compared to G Force!!

I usually do a full clip in November & that sees him through but I had to do him last week as he's getting so sweaty. Didn't do a 'proper' clip, just took off what was needed so did half of face, all of his neck, shoulders & belly.

Tee hee gilby is your welshy's name really g force? Sorry that made me giggle!!!

My welshy doesn't have enough coat yet and gets a full clip so I won't do her until she's in, my tb is semi retired so probably won't do her but my brothers heavyweight on the other hand is like a wooly mammoth so she will get a trace this weekend and then in 6 weeks when they come in at night I will take it all off!

G Force is my nickname for him! He does answer to it and it really suits him haha! I rode him last week in a gale too!!! He is the love of my life too :) :)

ive done a hunter clip on my fresian x warmblood a few days ago. she feels a lot happier, i was really thinking about it and im so glad i did it, she feels a lot better x

I have given my tb a full clip as she practically had her full winter coat.
My welsh x didnt have anything but he has fluffed up a bit over the last few days and he has a lesson on monday so will take a bit off 2moro.

still thinking about it. I usually take all but legs off the first clip, then hopefully he will get a little coat back before the freezing weather comes, when I will do a partial clip of some sort

It's kind of a cross between a Blanket and a Chaser :o :D

I gave my boy a full clip including legs but with half face left on 2 weeks ago. I clip his legs through summer anyway and the rest of him was getting fluffy too. I needed him looking smart for the BRC Nationals too :)

My pony gets this style of clip too when he gets clipped, he will need doing soon as his coat is is already quite thick but I tend to try and wait till mid October so he can be rugless as long as possible.
