I also went into teaching. Did that for six years then went to work for an awarding body and have been there ever since, worked my way up the greasy management ladder
Ill give you a bit of my background, I worked as a private prosecutor until I was made redundant early this year (worked for G4S...) Anyway, im not legally qualified as you only need to be an expert in your field to prosecute privately. Its all i've know (im almost 29) and other than A levels, have no other qualifications or experience.
Took a job in admin at a University. I work for the Business Engagement side of things which I find really interesting, but I hate the admin job! I get given crappy jobs all day and although I get the odd opportunity to do projects, I basically make coffee, order stationary and print things for people.
I have wanted to do a degree for years but have never known what in. Well I have decided on Business as I can get tons of supports from the very experience business people I work with. Not 100% sure what I will do with it yet, but if I can get a little more respect and some further projects at work, its a start! x
It is one of the most useful degrees for all sorts of things IMO
I used mine to get into marketing and sales. Then I took a complete career deviation and studied equine science of course . Now I'm hoping to find a career that combines the two I have found my business degree very useful in day to day life, especially in employment.
I did business and finance and am now a qualified accountant. Although I originally got into business studies and enjoyed the marketing and organisational strategy side of things I soon found that finance was my calling! Business studies is great as there is such a wide variety of things involved in it you are bound to find something that suits your talents!
