:D . at the chemist a huge bottle of benzyl benzoate is £4.76 and if you order from an equine company £14.99 ! you cannot buy it if you say its for your horse , so to save £9 i stare straight ahead as people take a step back :D

Like ^^^ :D
I do this with super-duper anti dandruff shampoo Selsun, which is exactly the same as the stuff from the vets for getting rid of thick scurfy skin that heel mites hide in, only its £6 cheaper :D
The chemist always glances at my flake-free hair and looks doubtful, so I tell them its for my OH who has "terrible terrible dandruff" ;) :D

Lol! Poor OH! Wonder if it would be okay to buy B B for a boyfriend with scabies? They might give out 2 bottles as a precaution! He he! Seriously, how do you word it? Just walk in and say a doctor diagnosed you, or you've got an itchy doo da?

:D:D:D yes poor boyfriend , lets hope he never goes in with you , he will wonder why the staff are staring at him. i try to choose a time when the shop is fairly empty and as soon as its my turn hundreds of people come in ! i just ask for it and they ask what its for and i say scabies , they say is it for yourself , i say yes and look suitably embarrassed , everyone there stares at me and the assistant scuttles off to get said product . i assume scabies is catching !:D

Lololol

Slightly different but once my friend was doing some horse shopping at tesco, massive tub of Vaseline and the biggest carrots she could find. Once it was sat on the conveyer belt it occurred to her what it may look like :D

I heard from a friend that it is used to treat crabs... apparently she got quite a few funny looks in the chemist as she kept buying it and eventually got asked if she had a 'problem'- when it was explained to her what it was used to treat she was mortified haha

I've done exactly the same!

They'll be an article in the papers soon showing how Benzyl Benzoate has increased in sales volume by 79% in 2012/2013 due to a massive outbreak of scabies!

Makes you wonder how accurate data is! I've had to get eye and ear drops before for my dog by pretending it's for me! x

I use ky jelly for sheath cleaning (much kinder and less interfering as it's water based),and usually buy it in my local pharmacy.
Gave the assistant a right laugh when I accidentally mentioned what it was for, luckily she knows me and my strange ways well, shame i can't say the same for the rest of the people in there at the time:o

I have had to blag it for antibiotic eye drops though and say they were for me,felt terrible lying to the assistant as i know her,but know she quite strict on actual medications and their uses.

Shall have to visit a different chemist for the scabies one if ever need that product, word get's around here and whole village will be avoiding me lol
