Not turned our lad out this morning, it's not raining at the moment but it's on its way. The rain isn't my main reason, the paddocks are saturated from last night & they'd just get churned up & ruined so he's staying in with huge pile of hay. He'll get worked this evening in the indoor.
My girlie is very much in! Wasnt remotely interested even in walking around the yard while I mucked out this morning. I might walk her out in hand later for a bite of grass, but what with her recent antics in the field, turning her out in this weather would be asking for trouble!!!
my two tbs are out in thier rambos with tails to the wind and rain , only if the winds get to structural damage type will i worry , cant stand keeping horses in , they hate it too , as for yards who don,t have sufficient turnout for winter , i,d move
My two are in and very happily munching hay. About 50/50 split on the yard this morning. Neither would blow away in a gale but they both quite like a day indoors occasionally!
All out!! i did put full neck rugs on, but its stopped raining here so dont feel too bad, think its going to rain later its such a shame as everything had dried up lovely to grr
I turned mine out at midday into a field with a bit of grass coming through and they went straight to graze. We are due for some more bad weather soon though, so they may only be out a few hours. Better than nothing though.
Same here! Im just a very neglectful owner! They do have a field shelter with lots of haylage to go in but im sure they are out in the field munching whats left of the grass and flirting with the mare in the next field
