Magic that is true but not in some cases, we bought a pony who we didn't realise had been out on pasture with ragwort and he died of liver failiure, if they are that hungry (and that field is hardly brimming with grass) they will eat it, plus with that amount they may bite some, chew it, spit it out and then accidently eat it a day later when it doesn't taste so bitter after wilting.
