Who is horse hunting at the moment?

Thank you Broodle, I think you are my target market! There are plenty of 4 rising 5 year olds around but I'm just concious that to sell in the summer as a 5yo probably will still be too young for this market. I've got a 6 coming 7yo I have my eye on, nice stamp, but more spendy than I was originally planning on. That said if there are people out there prepared to pay a reasonable price then it might be worth the gamble

I too would be your target market. My 19yr old share horse is exactly as Broodle describes (except he's 17hh, but a gentle giant so his size doesn't matter) I dread the day I have to find another. My horse was meant to be one of these too but foot problems mean he can't jump any more (hence the share horse).

What makes M so great (so might be worth you looking for) is he's talented (several instructors including 2 4* eventers have said he could have gone Advanced in the right hands) and 100% genuine but a little bit lazy so he'll do everything you ask of him with the minimum of effort and then go back to sleep. The second you stop asking, he stops moving - whether there's a horse galloping off in front of hi or not. That makes him sound hard work, but he isn't as he's so genuine, you only have to ask really really gently. But legging it would be too much effort, even thinking of over-jumping is too tiring and standing on two legs - either front or back would require a lie down for at least a week!

I've knowing him 15 years and he was exactly the same as a 4yr old.

I am seeking a horse that seems not to exist! A nice, easy all-rounder who will do be90 easily, do a nice BD novice test (with potential for more), hack on the buckle with no ifs or buts (this appears to be the big sticking point!), and generally be a nice chap to have around. 6-12 yo, 14.2-16hh, gelding, no tbs, no heavy cobs.... It's impossible!! I can spend 8K (ideally less) so I'm amazed it's proving so hard tbh :( Why don't nice RC all-rounders also hack sensibly?!
my overheight connie does all of that with bells on, but I wouldn't part with him for the world!
