Hot on the heels of Girlracers lovely pictures of Major with no bridle, I had my mum down today to take some pictures of the black pony and how blimmin awesome he is being at the moment. I'm afraid there are rather a lot but thought you might like them.
It was not a promising start...pretty sure I don't wanna get on this!:
Even my motorbike doesn't lean in like this:
15 minutes of zooming and hoolie-ing later, I braved getting on board...with some tack (and his garrocha pole):
Then the reins came off:
Popping a skinny (only ever jumped this once before):
Then we went all out (or all off!)
Three loop serpentines in canter with changes through walk...no problem!
and TADA!
Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be riding my pony bareback, with no bridle, let alone over fences, or in canter. He is still a hot little horse and not to be taken for granted (can only do a few bits and then he revs up and im not a talented enough rider to cope with that without tack!) but he is an absolute joy to be around. makes me smile so much!
