I had a loan horse that I had to give notice on as my own horse who is on loan is being returned unexpectedly. I gave the owner a month's notice as per our agreement and told her the reasons and explained that I feel I have an obligation to my own horse. My loaner also gave me a month's notice as per agreement.

The owner removed the horse within 3 days of me giving notice, which I don't have a problem with. She plans to sell the horse and wants to take him to a few shows in order to obtain a better price. She also cannot afford to keep the horse for the month and asked me to provide the feed for him which I did in order to help her out and of course for the welfare of the horse. I don't think I was obliged to do this as he is now no longer in my possession by her choice.

His feet and inoculations are also due this month and she is demanding that I pay for this too. I told her that I am not paying as she removed him prior to the month's notice expiring, and if she had left him until the end of the month, this would have been done as a matter of course.

What do you think ?
