Hi, wondering who is with E&L and do they actually pay out?
Id save £10 a month if I moved from KBIS to them and wondering if its worth it.

Not worth it. Been there, did not get paid out on, even when the vet got involved in arguing my case. Check with your own vet as to who they see who pay out and I will lay money it will not be E&L.

I know it was a while ago but as an eg... refusesd to pay out for nervicular treatment on my old horse - claimed it was a pre-exisiting condition. Great, horse had been insured with them for over 7 years with a clean certificate as a 6 year old. Never again.

I've never used them but have been advised by many people including my horsey vets and my doggy vets, not to touch them with a barge-pole. They'll use any excuse thay can think of not to pay out apparently.

Stay well away from E and L. They tried every trick in the book to try to avoid paying out for my stolen trailer. Got there in the end but it wasnt pretty!

Quite agree with all of the above comments, but what always puzzles me is how long they've been in business (as long as I can remember - or nearly anyway!) when they have such a poor reputation!

Well they've always paid out for me & I've made at least 2 very large & a few smaller claims but I used to be an insurance claims handler (freight not horses but same principle) so I suppose I know what to do & when to do it. I have 2 horses insured with them. I keep them informed about any illness / injury no matter how minor & also inform if I'm not going to make a claim.

bargepole.

i wouldnt touch them ever. i now pay £26 a month for B, no doubt i could get it cheaper with them but not worth it :/

E&L have been on Watchdog for not paying out. I was fooled buy it when it said my insurance would be 7.92 a month for vets fees etc. I'd rather pay the money for the quality!

Dont touch them if your life depends on it . They dont pay and liverpool hospital refuse to take a horse insured by them without you paying for it upfront !!!!
Its worth paying that little extra for piece of mind. Petplan or nfu are the best.

I had a horse insured with them.. not in my name but i was named on the policy had to make a claim and horse had to have an op it was ongoing near a year, e and l were fab, i actully had them calling me for invoices and they paid the vets direct.

no i dont work for Them LOL! To be honest id consider using them again.
