Who loves their livery yard?

I love mine too. Horses looked after as if they were their own therefore all liveries happy, no bitching everyone friendly :)

I love my new yard and so does Deano. So relaxed, fab people, totally DIY so everything is our call - and I can walk to it! The only drawback has been having noone to ride with but two horses are coming back into work and a new youngster is arriving this week so even that will no longer be an issue - woo hoo!

ME! Absolutely perfect! I love it.

There is this one girl who drives us all mad but we put up with her (*coughs* Pogface *coughs*)

Me! It's a mad house and it's not perfect and it's certainly not for everyone ... but you know it's the right place when you have an argument with OH and the first place you think of going is the yard because YO is like BigMomma who will fix everything :)

I love my yard too! Its a big (60+ horses) DIY yard, so some peoples idea of hell!! But i've got loads of great friends, decent hacking, 4 arenas and good turnout!

Me! Lovely people, good facilities shared with larger yard next door (only 6 boxes on our little separate yard) and great hacking. We all get on really well and love our little feed/tea room where we make lots of brews over a chinwag of the non bitchy variety!

Me!
It's the first time I've had a horse on livery (as back in Australia my horses were only ever on group grass livery). I rarely, if ever got to meet up with the other owners.
It's a new experience for me and one that I absolutely love. I really enjoy getting to the yard not only to see my boy but to catch up and chat up with the other liveries. For me it's a great social gathering as much as a horsey fix.
We have a great mix of very friendly people of varying ages, backgrounds, careers and apart from the horses, very varied outside interests.
My OH recently offered to pay the difference so I could move my boy to a yard in London 5 mins from home however I (and I'm sure my horse) would miss my current yard too much so I'm happy to travel nearly an hour to get there.

Love my yard, my girl has a huge stable, lots of friends and enough turnout. I have lights, electric, automatic feeders, a school, an onsite instructor and lots of friends! love love love it.

I adore my yard - nice big stables, fab turnout, outdoor school, plenty of storage, a secure tack room and only 3 other liveries and we have a great arrangement for helping each other out that works. And the only time i see my YO is when the livery is due :)

Reading all these livery threads and wonder if I'm not at the perfect yard? :D It's not posh but we have a school, electricity, running water and a secure tack room. Don't have to buy hay or shavings from YO, can keep my trailer there for free, often hitch rides with YO to shows in their lorry, near my house, it's reasonably priced AND the best part is, all the liveries get on!

Mucking out takes twice as long as I'm often gabbing to the other liveries or YO. I just love it.

Fess up, who loves their yard? :D
I do. Facilities are great. Have been involved with the yard and RS for nearly 30 years so YO and YM tend to listen to me if there's a problem and due to my advanced age and white hair I attract a fair degree of respect from most of the teenaged liveries and the rest only cross me once, (she sa' darkly!)

The downside is that I tend to get co-opted to sort out problems other people are a bit too shy to deal with and get lots of queries beginning "What do you think I should do about....."

I have just moved yard and am loving it. The staff are brilliant, school is lovely and its just a nice supportive plsce to be.

Me!

Only thing I'd change is some floodlights in the school but it doesn't hugely affect me really as my job allows me to ride in daylight.

Big stables 14 x 14, can buy wood pellets off YO or just buy in whatever bedding we like, any amount of turnout we like which is never restricted, each "herd" basically gets a summer field and a winter field so if we trash our winter field its our business really. Big decent school and lunge pen, surface isn't the best but its fine, good hacking, YOi s lovely, all but 1 of the liveries are lovely (given theres 30 odd horses its pretty good), have our own tack rooms ect ect.

I do its so nice to be at a yard where everyone gets on and we are a big yard the yard owners are so helpful and i have even taken up a bit of dressage something i never thought i would do they really encourage you after being at some really awful yards where the owners have no idea its a breath of fresh air to be where i am now
