Who managed to ride today & what did you do??

Yesterday i taught 4 and rode 4!!!!!! yep it was bloomin freezing but i tried to get in and out between the snow storms and on the whole did quite well.

Today i got fed up with the snow 'roulette' that i was playing and only did a couple.

yep, me and YO went out and got soaked, we were freezing but still managed almost 1&1/2hr hack, saw a suprising amount of people out hacking too, all carzy like us to be riding out in that! it wasnt as bad for the whole rest of the day, we got the worst of it
 
I insanely went to BSJA today! It was a blizzard here all day, but the roads amazingly (makes a change) had been gritted rather well so good enough to use. I only went as there was a Highland Show Qualifier, otherwise I would have stayed in bed! It was absolutely freezing (0 degrees literally!) and warming up in horizontal thick snow wasnt much fun! Poor horse HATED it!
 
well i rode my mare in the school twice today
once in her normal bridle and once in her new western bridle.
just did basics or walk, trot,canter, rein back and then bit of lateral work.she was really good.
 
I went for a power hack this morning! It was quite cold first thing so me and Miss P trotted most of the way around our hack....well we trotted up all of this hills....and she was made to really stride out when we were just walking.

Really enjoyed it. Took both of my daughters for a hack afterwards as well.
 
I took delilah out on the forest for 45 mins, during which she had her first gallop under saddle

Went out with a friend and her pony who is an absolute gem - such a calming influence for a green welsh D!

We had a little bit of snow and hail, and I had planned on doing a solid flatwork session as there was no BSJA or BD in the nearby area this weekend at all. In the end I changed my mind and went and did some unaffiliated SJ. The course was very tight and twisty compared to an affiliated course so I was really pleased to get round without having to circle anywhere and we came 2nd! There was also a wall and a water tray so not the most straight forward of courses either.
