That's what my thorough(ly-in)bred said when I discovered him with a chunk of hoof missing from his toe to a few cm before his heel! Pics:

He's been growing out the last of the flare caused by being turned away on the evil dr green, but I guess he didn't want to wait!

Who wants to guess how lame he is?!

Mine did this a few weeks ago!! He wrenched his shoe off and took a chunk of hoof wall with it. Looked exactly the same as this!

It is quite staggering how this horse can be *so* sensitive to a trim, but then rip half his hoof off and be fine. I think it's cause he's Irish .
