Who tows with a ssangyong rexton?

Specifically the 2.0 litre version (2013-2016/7) that has a towing capacity of 3 tonnes? I currently have an older one which tows 3.5 tonnes but am looking to upgrade, just feel a bit worried about the slightly lower towing limit - I have a cheval 2003xl trailer and generally two 15 handers about 450kg each so I know technically it's within the weight limit!

I have the 2014 model.
It tows effortlessly - two horses in Devon in a IW511, so very hilly.
I thought it towed 3.5tonnes, so I'll go and check the spec now.
Also I've towed the same set up with a Nissan Teranno (3 different models) which technically only tows 2.8tonnes and that was good too - so I think you'll be absolutely fine.

If its the 2.0 engine then I'm pretty sure it's 3 tonnes, however that's reassuring and as I'm also in Devon even better to hear!

Yes you're right. I've checked the logbook and it is 3 tonnes.
Its the best car I've ever towed with - I would like to upgrade myself but they changed the style in 2018 which I don't like so much.
I can pull up Holden Hill and maintain 50 miles per hour easily.
You wont have any problems.
Are you buying from a dealer?

I can highly recommend Pollits at Exeter if they have any second hand ones in.
Its where I bought mine and they have been really helpful and friendly.
If I decide to sell mine shortly, I'll let you know.
There is a nice bronze 2018 one that I want but its the other end of the country and also I'm meant to be saving my money to buy a house...........
