Did anyone else put their horse out naked for the first time this year? I decided Tia could go out naked and boy did she enjoy herself! She looked like a bog monster when I caught her. Shame I didnt get some pics. She is really malting at the moment too.

I hope this nice weather continues! :)

Yep Inka went out naked. I took her showjumping this morning and she was a little hot when we got back so had a nice hose down and went out naked. She loved it so much she didn't want to come in this evening.

Starsky went out naked yesterday and today and thoroughly enjoyed himself both days but yesterday in particular as the mud had dried out a lot today... he'll be naked again tomorrow too!

Nope not today, have done so for the past week or so, but although today was dry and sunny there was a freezing cold wind here so they kept their rugs on! :D

Me too although it's not quite turn out. She's out 24/7 but after I rode this morning and yesterday morning I put her back in rugless and went back at teatime to re rug. Which was interesting as I had to do a full groom before I could put it back on. think she really enjoyed having the sun on her back :) not long till she's out and naked 24/7!

my yearlings been nakey since the snow went away! Mia went out with a lightweight on though as it got a little cloudy and i wanted to make sure she was dry for me to ride :D enjoying this sun!

Yep, they've had their rugs off during the day for the last couple of days but back on in the evening.

However Ryan ran away this evening when I tried to put the rug back on (just loose in the field as normal) so he's remained naked!

Ok i'm a cruel mummy, as mine went out during the day last week naked, and as of yesterday they are now all stripped 24/7  (unless it get stupidly cold again) They are all natives though so should be fine... :D

I did! SO much orange hair in the mud where she had rolled; making the most of it as it's mean't to be wet again this week.........

Yes! They loved it. You could see the look of pleasure on their faces with the sun shining on their backs. They are in their lightweights tonight for the first time since September / October. Love it! :D

No!! There was a piercing cold breeze and although it was all right in the sun, when the clouds came over it was freezing (and the clouds also looked suspiciously dark - I didn't trust them!!)

But yesterday was gorgeous, no clouds, no wind. So yesterday I let Ginny out rugless and she had a nice roll :p

I had all of mine naked today, - today was a good day, worth all the trudging through the snow, long may this weather continue!!!

2 of mine have been out nudified for the past week......been quite nice up here, plus I dont have ANY mud on my new yard....

Poofter has still had his rug on, but he has down graded from a combo to a standard...yee-ha.....spring must be here :) :) :)

Not today, it really was still cool, however time to cut feathers on my old cob, and deep brush as his skin is in bad condition after the winter he suffers from skin problems and sweet itch, but i got him some Scratch n all pads which today he using all the time i was trying to brush him could not get hi off them! his skin is itchy all the time and last sept, he slashed his lower eye lid it cost me £450, in vets fees to get it stitched. So today has been a naked day but a scratching day, i fix the pads to the edge of ther fence post next to his stable and could not move him away from it, it has been a happy day-almost summer, and rug free, well almost

all 5 of mine were out naked today. I even clipped one of mine out again today and left her without rugs to enjoy the sn on her back - yeah i know im a bad mum and im sure someone will have reported me to the welfare for it, but she wasnt shivering, more like warm as toast when I went down to rug her up at tea time.

Yep, Lady went out for about an hour naked in the sun. (She was out longer, but had a rug on before that). Didn't leave her too long though as it was still quite windy and poor horse still has no hair (fully clippped before I bought her). Thank God she didn't roll :p

My uncles two only ponys i can claim to be involved with at the mo :(,a 3 year old and a 4 year old have yet to encounter rugs.....
They are unclipped and native crosses and live out 24/7 in a field with natural shelter.
We had -10 here at our worst weather but a lot less snow then ye guys. They had hay adlib and coped just fine.
