I've had him for 4 weeks now. First couple of weeks were turbulent to say the least. Yard owners had heard about him being a monster in the past, he bust through a couple of post and rail fences, he buggered off across the yard with me hanging on the end of a rope more than once and they didn't really want him around. However, they said we could stay, and that they would get all the fencing electrified to prevent him breaking it. And I'm so glad I stuck by him rather than sending him back like some people said I should

After not being ridden for 2 years he is now being ridden and apart from getting a bit strong now he's getting fitter, he is an absoloute star. He needs to shift a hell of a lot of weight and once he's fit I think he is going to be one seriously fun pony.

Here he is....Meet Thor!

Would love to know what you all think of my tubby lad!

His behaviour is already a hundred times better. He hasn't buggered off across the yard with me since the second week, and has really settled down. I'm so pleased I stuck by him rather than throw in the towel after a week. All I need to do now is find some sharper breaks because he does rush rush rush and pulls like a train out hacking on his own and tonight was a bit of a monkey in the school and kept trying to pull into the jumps that wer up and flying round corners like a pony possessed. I think most of that was my fault to be honest, think he picked up on me being stressed.

Other than that I feel we have really clicked and can't wait to get him fit and out to a few shows!
