Who warned the pigeons I was coming???

Because I only saw about 10 pigeons yesterday, and only managed to get one shot off (mainly because a couple of times I forgot to take the safety off

)

Otto was a good boy, spent 3 hours sat still with only minimal squeaking (mainly because I wasn't stood next to him I think)

Otto is now sulking because he just had a bath

I think all the pigeons were down here - bloody shooting all over the place yesterday!!

Poor Otto having a bath

- stinky St Sweep is booked in for a spring haircut so will come back smelling of roses - much to his disgust!!

Haven't worked out how to bath the Moo - am still thinking the hosepipe and a bucket of hot water with shampoo - just need a willing vounteer to wrestle him to the ground......

Otto was tied up at the yard and hosed, I wasn't even kind enough to use hot water, but I did have his thermatex on the heater ready for him. It was Henry's posh whitening shampoo, so he is sparkling now!!

Hi, come shoot our pigeons please, despite all the old farmers trying to shoot them each weekend, they are multiplying fast. I think I may need to start shooting again.

Bruce went out yesterday afternoon and had 3!!!!! He said they were way too high *or maybe he just can't hit granny on a p1ss pot* he took Kensa and she spent most of the afternoon trying to give him kisses!!!!! He sent me this pic ....

Awww bless Kensa!

Between 5 people (at least two of which are decent shots!) only 4 birds and a Squirrel were shot!

Otto wasn't a good boy when I let him have a run after we'd finished and he bugger off completely and then went momentarily deaf when I called him back!

Yet today his recall was better than ever, bloody spangels

I think the safest place to be when I'm holding a gun is where ever I'm aiming, 'cos I sure as hell won't hit it!

My uncle reckons I'm a scud for pigeons as he says they never fly as well when I'm there

We ought to do a 'top ten list of excuses' for not being able to shoot a pigeon!
I thought my hubby had used every one in the book but I'm certainly learning some more on here! These are some of the tried and tested ones from my hubby:
* there weren't any!
* I had the wrong coat on
* The sun was in my eyes
* I was using the wrong choke on my gun

and the slightly more honest when having a bad day 'I don''t know what went wrong but couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo'
