Wow, Luckilotti you sound just as lovely!! However, near Okehampton was quite a crucial part... Someone should start a thread about who has the loveliest YO after all the complaining ones that have been on here lately. I never envy them, although I have come across some really ahem *difficult* people at past yards, I think it would be a very much more difficult job than people realise and to do mince pies/apple pies/bucks fizz/bacon sarnies as well as that is just outstanding

ETA: Oops I just realised that there is one! You should both be on it...

My YO put a buffet on in his house for Christmas. The groundsmen came too and we had mulled wine and all the works. They are amazing, kind people but it works both ways and we totally respect their yard and kindness so everyone is happy. My yard to be honest is a dream to be on.

My YO had us in for mulled wine and mince pies over christmas and new year. My daughter doesn't like wine so he made her a bucks fizz!! We have a very nice family who run our yard and after reading many posts about troubles and strife at livery yards an very happy to be where I am. Oh yes and currently in this rather cold water when all the taps are frozen we get a container of water left for us each day ( even though I do bring my own as well )

Our YO did mulled wine and mince pies, sausage rolls etc the sun before xmas. We all had a little prezzie and they paid for all the booze on our stable nite out. Yard has bout 30 liveries so wouldn't have been a cheap nite!!
