I am the only person I know who only rides in gloves if my hands are cold.

Everyone say "I don't know how you can ride without gloves, don't your hands get sore?"

Well No!! Not usually, only if the horse pulls a lot. What about the rest of you? Gloves or not?

I pretty much always ride in gloves, I have rubber reins and a gobby TB who spooks a lot

But with other nicer horses I didnt bother wearing them, otherwise in the summer you get a 'glove tan' that goes from the wrists upwards

I usually wear gloves all the time except when it is really hot and I'm riding something not strong. I have got horrible blisters from not wearing gloves before
My friend never wears gloves even when hunting on the coldest day. She says she doesn't feel the cold

I never used to ride in gloves when I was younger but my Dad bought me a ring for my 18th (I'm now nearly 22) and I wear it 24/7 and if I don't wear gloves it rubs... so now I never ride without gloves if I have them with me.

I always wear gloves riding and handling after a bad rope burn experience I learnt the hard way why I should of been wearing them.
Now it feels odd not to wear them and somewhat uncomfortable.

I hack with gloves on alot of them time coz my cobs got a habit of bolting and im not much good if my hands are burnt up from the reins ripping through my hands lol

Gloves always for me too, i deal with youngsters and have lost the skin from my fingers too many times. Also rubber reins make a real mess when you forget to let go when you fall off jumping!!

I used to wear them only in the winter as a kid, and always had calluses on my hands. Now I always wear them. I have my eye on a fancy super-warm pair of Roeckls for the winter!

Always. I have a pair of Macwets for Summer, and pair of Ariat gloves (neoprene type) for winter. I wore my WoofWear glovesout, but they were good gloves.

Gosh, I don't wear gloves at all for riding. I'm afraid I have hands like a navvy from block laying, roofing etc. Maybe this year I will get some as it is much colder here than the south.

I never, ever wear gloves- only when i have to when it's REALLY REALLY cold, or at comps. They feel really hot and uncomfortable!

I wear them the majority of the time, the main reason to stop my hands becoming really calloused - although I have to admit I still have never managed to totally prevent this!! I do ride without them though without it being of concern.

i don't think i even own any gloves now. i only wear them in the winter when its really cold and then only for hacking or if i've got new reins and they've rubbed a hole in my hand. i hate wearing gloves it feels odd to me but then i hate wearing socks without shoes too

I either wear both gloves, Or atleast one. This is because I always wear at least one round the yard for leading after having a horse run off with me and nearly getting rope burn. So I generally do try and wear gloves when riding, but not always

Nick.

Gloves. Can't remember what they're called, very thin and with a pink box type logo thingy. Only thing is, daughter had some the same size.... short story, she borrowed mine and lost one. Hers seem to have shrunk so I'm left with one glove

Rode yesterday and the half rubber reins (I need the extra grip at times!) burnt my fingers and blistered one

Off glove hunting next weekend!
