Who/what else hacks out with you?

I have noticed recently loads of boyf and OH being dragged out on push bikes whilst girlf is hacking horse.

We have a open field round the back of the farm and some of us take a good dog who will behave.

There used to be a yard down the road whose resident sheep used to go round the block ( a corn field with a bridle way round) with the ponies or if they went on the roads he had to be locked in a stable and left behind


Who goes hacking with you?
 
Usually I hack out with ... my horse LOL.

Sometimes one of my friends comes out with us, only 2 of them have horses that can keep up with Dylan's speed-walking!
 
I hack out mainly with my good friend.

But other than my friend I often go out alot with my boyfriend, who sometimes reluctantly brings our dog (who refuses to move) and we all set off together.. My OH angry at being dragged out, my dog refusing to move and my horse napping and rearing.. It's absolute bliss...!!!

Having said that, because of persisting with the above, dog is getting better and has started to walk a bit without being pulled (doesn't like it when my horse freaks out on the road, which she does often) and my mare is getting much better, now going in front quite happily with fewer arguments... So the only part to work on now is my OH!

Another horse or my mum rides her bike out with us. Great for (human) company as I hate hacking out on my own, but the horses do get a little dependant on her so I have to go out alone to keep their attention.

I don't love hacking at all really as it's all road work around here, but it is good for the horses fitness work and to keep them interested and as good chill-out time. I wish we had bridleways round here...I'd soon start to enjoy hacking :(
 
generally my mum or sister..or both. or the girls whose horse we share (there are 5 horses in total so we do take all 5 out from time to time!). my mum goes on horse/foot/bike depending how she feels, and also have dragged my dad out on foot/bike! and sometimes they ride and I run..so a real mix! I much prefer having someone to chat to, however there are times when just going for a wander alone is perfect...think that is my plan for tomorrow :)
