Who would you choose??

If you HAD to make the choice between your horse or your Wife/girlfriend Husband/boyfriend who would you choose.I have to say i think i would choose my horse.I could get a boyfriend but my horse is to me not something i could replace that easily.

I find it disturbing that people would choose an animal over a human unless they had a VERY f***ed up relationship that meant they were being hurt constantly, etc.
 
Cant imagine a scenario where I would have too choose one over the other except if OH was giving me an ultimatum. So if that was the case then it would be the horse.
 
my horses any day. My bloke was always asking which I would choose - w*****. he always wanted me to say him but only so he could tell me to get shut of them.
He said he was always second best - what a load of bull
 
My husband - he has encouraged and supported me and got me back into horses after 25 years away. He didn't even know I liked horses or could ride for the first 10 years we were together but since he's known how much pleasure I get from my horses he has done everything he can to make sure that they and I are happy. And he pays for them all. If for some reason I had to give them up to look after him (I don't say this lightly, he's been at death's door a couple of times) then I would be sad and unhappy and miss them terribly but would do it because of all the support and love he has given me.
 
If it was a financial or logistical issue (i.e moving abroad) then I would choose my OH. Springy is very special and I love her to bits but a loving and happy relationship is more important to me. If my OH made me choose between him and her then he wouldn't be the person I am in love with as he would never put me in that situation and I would choose Spring. I couldn't be with someone that is jealous of a horse and would rather see my unhappy.
 
Seeing as my husband would never ask me to choose between Cropi and him it would have to be hubby. He has supported me every step of the way with everything and he would sell anything he had to if it came to it so I could keep her. I love Cropi totally but my love for hubby is far deeper and in a different way

Hubby, but would keep the horse in secret until he found out and then he would feel terrible for making me do that and give in
 
I think it depends in what situation.

If it was a partner saying: Oh, you have a horse. Sell it because I don't like them, I would go for the horse as the person would obviously be not right for me

Financial, illness, job etc... Probably partner...
 
If it was OH making choose I'd choose the horse, I would not be with someone that gave me ultimatums like that. For another reason, providing I could find a brilliant home for Chex then I'd choose OH. But if I couldn't find that home I don't know what I'd do. And I can't see that situation arising, I can't think of any reasons why Chex couldn't stay in the family.
 
Agree with everyone, if my hubby made me choose between him and my horses, just in a controling way, then it would be my horses.

However my hubby comes first, the horses a close second.
 
I don't have either ATM! It totally depends on the situation, if I was given an ultimatum by the OH I would be so offended and hurt that I got the ultimatum that I would choose the horses!

But if this was just hypothetical (which it is lol!) I would choose the OH. Simply because I think we should work at our human relationships as hard as possible and that's the meaning of life LOL deep and meaningful!?
 
Horse (all of my pets actually) of course. Because anyone that put you in that position is not someone I would want to spend my life with.
 
I've thought about this and decided I can't make a decision (if that makes sense!) I could not be without either, but my partner would never expect me to part with horse anyway.
 
Obviously would depend on the situation.

Maybe this thread would be better with a question like "who do you value more, horses or OH" as obviously a lot of people are coming from the line of an ultimatum.

I would choose my OH above a horse any day - however obviously would depend on the reason - if he told me to get rid of a horse "just because" then I wouldn't, but he wouldn't do that to me.
