Tia is on part livery - my yards interpretation of part livery is that they turn her out, muck out and feed her and I bring her in and put her to bed every night. One night, I couldn't make it down to the yard and i asked them to put Tia to bed (extra cost) They'd left her last out in her field and she went BONKERS and tore through three electric fences, took down in all about 10 fence rails and got severly scared on route to the ponies field for some company. If this was your yard, who would you expect to pay for the cost of the damaged fence posts? The yard or the horse's owner?
Just intrested in what various yards would expect

I would def say the yard..they should see you on a regular basis and if it is a good yard, kinda know your routine...I also know a local yard that nevers brings horses in without each other due to charging through fences and un-necessary upset.
They also make sure that if one horse is on its own another horse is either let out with it, or that horse is brought in.
I would not be happy.
My friends horse was left out and he got stuck in barbed wire for 2 hours...she has moved yards and was very angry with the YO for not keeping an eye on the pasture fields...! Its the YO job to keep an eye on things and make sure things are working well...dont want to sound a know it all, but yep it should be the yard....
