Whoa,brrr or something else?

I drive so all the horses are very well voice trained , I did have fun with one Brrrrr is my "I am not very pleased with you pleased with you noise "and with one I bought it was the emergency stop command he quickly learned new commands though but it was fun for a while.

On the lunge I use: t-rot, whoa, c-ant-er, walk, stand
When riding: If I need to distract a fresh/spooky horse I will whistle, I also often say 'aye, aye' to him if he is fidgeting on the hunting field to remind him to behave - good old Irish speak can work wonders! ;)

I used to do MGA and my pony knew the difference between Whoa and GO! Alas, my new horse never got the hang of it so I use 'steady' in slow sing-song now. I clack my tongue for upward transitions and that works for us.

Apparently my pony thinks 'aand' means slow down, 'ok' means trot, and 'lets go' means canter. I think this means I chat too much to him when I ride! He is very good on them, but it was a problem to start with, as every time instructor or bystander said 'and' after he was backed he stopped dead. 'step' means Spanish walk. I use 'ja' and nein for trick training for if he tries or needs correcting.
